Mechanical and Quartz Watch Inspection and Repair

Free Watch Inspection for service needed

In the case that your mechanical watch has stopped working please bring it to Davidson and Licht at your earliest convenience so that we may first do a visual inspection.  If needed we will have our watchmaker further inspect the timepiece and will advise you of what repair or maintenance is needed.  In the mean time do not try to wind the watch or set the date or time as this may cause damage to the watch.

If your battery operated watch stops telling time.  We will first inspect the movement and the battery functionality as sometimes the battery itself is not the sole problem.  Based on our watchmakers findings we will inform you of the service that is needed to properly repair your timepiece.  

Mechanical Movement Complete Overhaul

A complete overhaul includes the complete disassembly of the mechanical watch case, bracelet, and movement. The case and bracelet are ultrasonically cleaned. All worn or rusty movement parts are replaced with genuine replacement parts. The movement is ultrasonically cleaned, reassembled, and lubricated with manufacturer specified oils and lubricants.  The seals and gaskets are replaced as a part of a complete service to ensure the water tightness of your watch is maintained to factory specifications. The movement is electronically calibrated and placed into the case. The watch is pressure tested in both wet and dry conditions and then time tested for 3 days to ensure accuracy.

Full Battery Service

Cleaning the contacts, inspection of the crown and tube, testing the movement and the battery for functionality, and vacuum testing for proper water resistance.
